Car Dealers Using Twitter
November 17, 2009 by Showroom Logic · Leave a Comment
Twitter is still fairly new, and many car dealers still don’t understand the power and reach of Twitter. It takes some work to get quality followers, but otherwise it’s free and quick.
What do you do if you have an up that shows up looking at your inventory. Let’s say they’re in the market for a late model pre-owned car and they visit your lot, but nothing stands out to them. Like most, they make it clear to you that they are “just looking”. They may not want to provide you with a phone number, and it’s hard to just let them go without getting aggressive.
You know that you have some new inventory coming in, but you don’t know what and when. Now you simply hand them your business card and ask them to follow you on Twitter. When your newest inventory arrives they will get a tweet with a direct link to every new vehicle that comes in.
Now you have a customer not only following you on Twitter, but this customer will also be a visitor on your website giving you another chance to build your brand.
