BMW, known for it’s performance and style, is a much sought after vehicle. Many think they cannot afford to own such an luxurious vehicle, but think again. The price of this BMW Sedan has been reduced to an amazily low $13,995.

This car is loaded with options. Relax in comfort in the leather seats and feel the cold A/C blowing on your face.  More of a night owl? Cruise around while your passengers stare at the stars through the moon roof. Luxury and comfort are not all this car has to offer, it also has many safety features. Some of these include dual front airbags (including side airbags), traction control and stability control.

The Car Sharing concept is actually quite simple. Much like car rental, when you need a car once in a while, you can reserve one through a car sharing company. The vehicles are insured through the company and most provide a set number of daily mileage and even offer free gas. There are many makes and models offered, including Hybrids, and they can be picked up at various locations.

California is trying to pass a bill which would allow you to “share” your personal vehicle. Presently, auto insurers do not allow their customers to rent personal vehicles. This bill will change car insurance laws and allow individuals to enter their vehicles into a Car Sharing program.

If this bill passes, it could greatly effect California in a positive way. There would be less vehicles on the road so there would be less congestion.  Fewer vehicles on the road also means less pollution. For the individuals who share their cars, they would have the opportunity to make some money by doing basically nothing.

There are some drawbacks to sharing your personal vehicle. Although the “renters” would have to pass a screening of their driving record, you have no way of knowing exactly what they are doing in your car or how they are treating it.

As with everything in life, whether or not you share your car is a personal choice, it’s not for everyone. As I mentioned above, right now individuals do not have the option of sharing their vehicles, however, if this bill passes it would give you that choice.

I have to give an A for effort to San Leandro Ford Lincoln Mercury in Oakland California. They actually crop every vehicle they have in inventory. I’m not sure if any of you ever tried to crop a vehicle, but I assure you it’s not fun. Especially around the tires.

Either they hired a techie with Photoshop experience to post their vehicles online or they found a company that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
